In the abyss of Self lies the truth of Ichor's origins, borne in antiquity and rife with calamity. Of both Fae and Fell, under the authority of neither the Unseelie nor the Infernal, they weave dreams as the leannan'sidhe and invoke carnal desire as the succubus, where they reign over woebegotten kingdoms in isolated sovereignty that bears no crown. No name has been given to these entities, these loveless princes and princesses, as they are known only by the primordial Ever-Night which manifested them for the infinite purpose of sustaining Itself.As dreams are born of desires, desires are born of wants, and wants are born of needs. It is therefore the intrinsic nature of these entities to emanate the very essence of Desire through every facet of their prolonged existence, having been instilled with an innate need to provide pathways towards the cultivation and nearly unquenchable appetite for the fulfillment of happiness, never dreaming nor sleeping for themselves, even to the depths of depraved insanity and endless despair of their corporal sentience.The Yoru-Ouji (Night Prince) within Kira has been ever-present since the days his mother walked the Living Realms. She, herself, was a Yoru-Hime (Night Princess) abandoned by the blood relations of her vessel from the time she was a small girl until she escaped the depraved confines of the asylums which had contained her existence for a decade. Twisted as her mind’s pathways were, this failed to diminish her intelligence, as she eked out a simple living for herself in the underbelly of Kugane - out of reach of the bakufu and the thriving creatures of Light. Using only her wits and her wiles, she plied a courtesan's trade, an oiran with no shouka and no danna. It was in this place of shadows the Ever-Night sent her a True Vision, one which promised an end to her heart's isolation.The choice was made. The child conceived. And precisely nine months to the day, the final Yoru-Ouji (Night Prince) was born. Given the name 'Kira' first, to serve as a warning of death to all that get too close as well as for being to his mother all that glitters in her dark world, he was then also given the name 'Satoshi' to safeguard him from the madness that comes with being a child of the Ever-Night. In doing so, his mother placed a seal over his blood which contained his Yoru-Ouji consciousness and form, though it could not wholly contain his psionic and aetherial powers or carnal influence.

After wreaking minor bouts of havoc and debauchery between the royal households of both Zaqqum and Magicoz, Kira invoked the wards imbued within his True Name and sealed the Night Prince himself. He then traversed the Lifestream twice more, spending time working as the school secretary for Kouen Gakuen High before moving on to the Infernal sanctuary town of Obscurity, during which times the Yoru-Ouji remained mostly dormant. However, ever since his latest journey through the Lifestream to the aetherial realm of Hydaelyn/Eorzea, his True Name seal has begun to break.The Yoru-Ouji within Kira has been manifesting more frequently since his foray into the frozen landscapes of Coerthas. However, the horned and clawed royal encountered is only a fraction of his true corporal form, as the Night Prince has yet to ever fully be released. His kingdom presently exists within the Void of Reflections of Ishgard's ruins, one where Fell spirits and minor entities of the Ever-Night dwell unseen by all save those gifted with Sight-Beyond-Sight. His throne is as cold as the abysmal frost and as solitary as oblivion, where his loveless heart can come and find its solace beneath the neutrality of his rule and apathy of his countenance.
